The end of term has arrived which means the day timers break for the summer hols! But\u2026the good news is evening classes continue. So for anyone wanting to get their kettlebell fix message me for details of when evening classes are running.<\/p>

We celebrated the end of term by having a day timers social. It\u2019s always lovely to bring everyone together. Often day timers don\u2019t get to meet people that train on different days. So it\u2019s a good excuse for a catch up and some delicious food and to see everyone out of gym gear! <\/p>

Over the summer at evening classes we will be following one of Strongfirst\u2019s Iron Cardio progressions, amongst other things. But the main aim is to keep everyone ticking over so that they don\u2019t lose strength for September. Iron Cardio will challenge you in a different way to our squat progression, but I\u2019m excited to see what can be achieved. <\/p>

This month our club member of the month is incredibly worthy of the award. Every once in a while a real gem walks through the Hels Bells doors which was so true of this individual.<\/p>

She started training with the day timers just over a year ago and by her own admission had a number of health and physical issues that meant training would need to be adapted. <\/p>

We did exactly that! Sessions were adjusted to allow Bethan to succeed and slowly but surely her strength, stability and endurance has improved. Bethan can now swing the 12kg for low reps. Press the 8kg over head confidently and can deadlift a 24kg. We have also worked on movement patterns which is supporting her to be more stable on her feet and walk unaided up and downstairs. All of which is a huge achievement for Bethan, given some of the health issues she manages. <\/p>

She is never one to beaten and comes to ever session with a positive \u2018can do\u2019 attitude, determined to do her best and she is an utter joy to coach, listening to the advice on offer and remaining focused throughout.<\/p>

Bethan is also incredibly supportive of others and always the first to celebrate their successes. She really has fitted in well to sessions and yet again shows what a wonderful community we have at Hels Bells.<\/p>

Sadly for us Bethan is moving away from the area. Which means her time at Hels Bells has come to an end. However we are looking at ways of continuing online as Bethan is determined to maintain her new found strength. <\/p>

She will be missed by the day time crew and has touched the hearts of everyone, including myself. Everyone who she has met Bethan over the past year comments on how kind she is. It really is a loss to the club that Bethan is unable to continue in person. <\/p>

However we celebrate all that has been achieved in the last year. It has been a privilege and a pleasure to coach you and I wish you well with your retirement and move to be nearer to your family. <\/p>
