How is it the penultimate month of the year?<\/p>

October was a busy month. I was fortunate to attend and work at the UK\u2019s StrongFirst kettlebell certification which runs once a year at Lilleshalle near Telford. It\u2019s always a privilege to support and work with other coaches. And I never fail to return with hints and tips that will support everyone at Hels Bells to improve their own technique. The three days are full on for both the students and assistants but it\u2019s great to spend time in a room with fellow professionals all passionate about kettlebells.<\/p>

Plans are now under way for the Hels Bells Christmas Party we will be holding it at Cafe Marina in Portishead and over 40 club members will be attending. So it promises to be a fun one. As always I will be doing the club awards and will be asking evening club members to vote for their club member of the year.<\/p>

This month\u2019s Club Member of the Month is long over due to be honest! She joined the club just over a year ago as a complete beginner, but it would be fair to say from the outset, I could see that Hannah was going to be strong. Since joining Hannah has juggled a busy, young family and job, but has continued to prioritise kettlebells, attending at least twice a week. Known for a her jazzy leggings Hannah has become an integral part of the club supportive, encouraging and kind of others. <\/p>

\"wfdc7ztuxrug1pjshhqvfpzew6cjbnmlwzydnblhve399xda.jpeg.jpeg?w=1140&v=2\"Her commitment to attending has definitely paid off as not only has her technique improved but she has grown a whole lot stronger. Now confidently swinging the 32kg for two handed swings and pressing the 16kg.<\/p>

When she first started, by her own admission, squats were her nemesis! We had to dial them back completely and it wasn\u2019t until I did a particular drill that it suddenly clicked and she began to enjoy them. Well\u2026maybe enjoy is too strong a word!!! \ud83d\ude02 However Hannah is now competent at performing a squat and has moved up the weights. It\u2019s been a pleasure to watch and support her to improve.<\/p>

Recently Hannah joined the latest Hels Bells Accountability Group and achieved great success showing real focus and determination. She improved her understanding of how to fuel her body to support her training. Created new habits and in the process reduced her body fat, weight and lost inches. I believe that Hannah will continue to apply the principles she has learned, which in turn will support her to continue to move forwards! <\/p>

Hannah congratulations on all you have achieved since joining Hels Bells. It\u2019s a privilege to coach you and I am loving watching your journey. I am excited to see what 2025 brings for you. But believe the SFG ladies Kettlebell standards are certainly within your reach.<\/p>
